Job Description:
As the Operations Manager reporting directly to the Branch
Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the service
operations of our Branch, which provides a multitude of make-ready,
add-on, and renovation services for our multi-family clientele. You
will be responsible for effectively managing and coordinating
qualified independent contractors, ensuring productivity,
maintaining quality control, prioritizing safety, and ensuring
client satisfaction.In this dynamic role, you will analyze and
optimize operational procedures and business processes,
continuously seeking opportunities to enhance our operations. Your
expertise will contribute to winning profitable proposals,
acquiring new clients, and expanding our market share within
existing accounts. Achieving high client satisfaction and meeting
annual revenue and gross profit targets will be among your key
responsibilities.To excel in this position, we seek a growth-minded
professional with a sharp business acumen and a proven track record
in managing multiple departments to maximize productivity.Working
alongside a team of Field Service Managers and Field Service
Coordinators, you will actively collaborate with our clients'
property managers, maintenance managers, and staff, fostering
strong partnerships to drive revenue growth for the Branch.Salary
Range: $81,000 - $91,000Bonus: target bonus is 15% of annual salary
(divided and paid out quarterly)Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM
- 5:00 PMResponsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the overall operations of the Branch
including hiring and training of branch staff; updating, and
ensuring the daily schedule needs are being managed & completed in
a timely and satisfactory manner
- Ensure client satisfaction through promptly and effectively
addressing questions or concerns
- Walk jobsites to ensure service compliance to client
requirements, ensuring Field Service team members do the same
- Ensure proper safety protocols and procedures are being
met
- Build and maintain quality relationships with new and existing
clients, ensuring frequent communication with clients through site
visits and responsiveness to questions and concerns
- Works with Branch Manager to identity and select qualified
independent contractors on an ongoing basis
- Work efficiently with the office team and field personnel to
provide exemplary customer service
- Sell and bid all service offerings to meet Branch goals and
supervise the Field Service Manager's to do the same
- Provide coverage for Field Service Managers, as needed
- Increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to
enhance the company's internal capacity
- Perform other related duties and special projects as
assigned
- Recruit and assist in onboarding independent contractor
network
- Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and
manage branch staff
- Run a safe workplace and report all safety incidents in a
thorough and timely manner
- Work closely with Divisional Management to set and/or implement
policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with
implementation
- Organize work and determine resources and requirements
- Increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to
enhance the team's delivery of servicesQualifications:
- AA Degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of proven success in an operations
management role
- Customer service and people management experience required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
- Proposal building and sales experience preferred
- Experience with multi-family properties or managing light
construction projects preferred
- Strong skills in financial reporting review and management
- Proven success in managing and developing a team through strong
leadership and mentorship
- Excellent project management skills
- Proficiency in conflict management and customer negotiation
processes
- Ability to perform effectively in environments with frequent
workload changes and competing demands
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills with
superior interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with a
variety of audiences
- Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint and
ability to adapt to technology platforms
- Must have a commitment to service excellence with a friendly
and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent work ethic, integrity, and accountability
- Strong organizational skills, and ability to multi-task
- Able to work with cross-functional teams within the
organization
- Basic knowledge of personnel policies including hiring,
interviewing, and terminating
- Ability to make sound business/operations decisions quickly and
under pressure
- Ability to motivate teams to deliver quality services within
tight timeframesPhysical Requirements and Special Conditions of
Employment:
- Ability to operate company vehicle in a manner consistent with
local and state rules and regulations and company policy
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to walk distance of our client properties, including
up/downstairs, bend at waist and/or knees and lift arms at/over
shoulder
- Ability to work outdoors and be exposed to hot and cold
temperatures
- Valid driver license and good driving record
