Job Description:
Orlando Health is seeking a BE/BC Anesthesiologist. The position is
to join a collaborative team of anesthesiologists and advanced
practice anesthesia providers at the Orlando Health Jewett
Orthopedic Institute. The institute consists of one building with
an outpatient surgery center and an inpatient surgery department.
The case mix ranges from diagnostic outpatient orthopedic
procedures to complex total joint replacement and spine surgery.
The responsibility in this position is to deliver an exceptional
patient experience with safe, up to date care, while acting as a
catalyst to expand the organization s mission and achieve its
vision.Essential Functions
- Collaborative member of anesthesia department to work with
surgeons, nurses, and other medical professionals
- Evaluate and formulate anesthetic plan for patients undergoing
surgical and/or diagnostic care
- Supervision/Medical Direction of certified anesthetists
delivering anesthesia
- Personally administer anesthesia intraoperatively with
continuous monitoring of vital signs and titration of anesthesia
neededOther Related Functions
- Maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent
with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal,
state and local standards.
- Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and
procedures
- Attends and participates in departmental meetings and
educational initiatives
- Teach student anesthetists, residents, fellows or other
learnersEducation/Training
- Anesthesiologists must be either an M.D. or D.O. with the
completion of an approved Anesthesiology Residency program.
- Board eligible or board certified in Anesthesiology
- Anesthesiologist must complete and meet hospital credentialing
requirements.
- Training in advanced regional anesthesia and nerve blocks
highly preferredLicensure/Certification
- Must hold or be able to obtain active Florida medical license
prior to startExperience
