• 3+ years -of inpatient coding experience is required.
• Formal ICD-10-CM and CTP training required
• 3+ years with Trauma 1 & 2.
• Experience with EPIC, Athena, or 3M is preferred.
• Certification as a -Certified Professional Coder (CPC), -Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC), or -Certified Coding Specialist (CCS).Responsibilities:
  • Accurately code hospital inpatient accounts using -ICD-10-CM/PCS -coding systems.
  • Deciphers operative reports and other physician medical record documentation to appropriately select codes and maximize charge capture.
  • Ensures coding compliance with established standards and guidelines.
  • Evaluate documentation issues in consultation with medical and clinical staff.
  • Utilize coding references, software tools, and electronic health records to ensure efficient coding practices.Why Join?
